My career in MBA prep started in January of 2000, teaching verbal GMAT Prep for Kaplan. I had just returned from studying brand strategy and consumer loyalty at ESC-Amiens, a French-speaking business school, as the first recipient of the Global Scholar Award from the University of Iowa.
While completing my MBA studies in the Spring of 2000, I was recruited to head up the GMAT service offering for a large admissions consulting firm. For 13 years, I worked to prepare MBA applicants part-time.
Post-MBA, I spent eight years working for Fortune 500 companies in marketing management roles, writing award-winning advertising campaigns for Gannett and direct mail that broke sales records for Dow Jones.
As the Wells Fargo corporate newsletter editor, I interviewed upper management and told their stories. Once familiar with my talents, many invited me to write their bios and serve as their ghostwriter.
Exiting corporate, I started a consultancy developing value propositions for new startup owners, helping them increase sales revenue and obtain VC funding.
Drawn to marketing people rather than products, I decided to go from part-time to full-time with MBA prep consulting. I help both full-time and EMBA leaders get into top 10 MBA programs.
Live jazz is my jam, along with personal development and perfecting my French. You might find me swimming, meditating. Sipping on sangria, asking strangers if I can pet their dog.
To learn more about me, I invite you to read this interview. I want to help you create your best applications get into your dream b-school and pursue a career that excites you.

When I found her on GMAT Club, I had already applied to London Business School, and was rejected without getting even an interview. In order to improve my essays and increase the chances to get admitted by my dream school, I decided to go with her, even knowing we on a very tight schedule..."

"Farrell is the only one who believed in me. First, she spent hours learning about me, to make sure I chose schools that fit me, and also, where the adcom would appreciate my international background the most. Honestly, this is probably the most important part of the application process and most students neglect it..."

"Farrell not only helped me connect the dots and tell my story, but also guided me through an important process of self-knowledge. The methods used during the process were simple and effective in finding answers about myself and my objectives. Knowing about myself was an essential step towards achieving my short and long-term goals..."
